Be my Valentine

Valentines is a special day where lovers express their affection for each other. Normally they'd exchange gifts or valentine cards. Some guys send their girls roses, perfumes or if we, ladies, are lucky enough, expensive gifts such as jewelries or gadgets. Back in school days, I remember our professor leaving us with a project in which we need to make a personalized Valentine card. The output is always the same; a white bond paper folded in four with red heart-shaped cutouts in various sizes glued in front or even inside the card, and sometimes it has cupids too! :D I regret that I didn't keep or at least take snaps of my school projects. I could have posted some of my artistic works before, which was filed and kept in my grade school's museum. As a child I really enjoyed drawing things and faces especially of ladies. Now, I don't sketch or draw or create anything artistic. So I guess I lose the artist in me.

Now, let's g
o back to the topic. Two days from now and the most romantic day for lovey-doveys will be celebrated - Valentines! I'm certain that there's gonna be rush in the roads. Definitely lovebirds will be out to fancy restaurants in hotels already booked a week before. Valentine concerts will be here and there. In fact, I was invited to watch a mini-concert of Aiza Seguerra (I wish it was a Maroon 5 concert at least) but until now I haven't decided if I'm gonna come with him or not. And this one is a fact: flowers will become costly from today til Vday.

Here's an extravagant and wonderful date I heard last night from my friend. Not actually a Valentines surprise, it's a birthday treat - yet it's as sweet as that! She said her colleague-friend (who was tasked to book the date) told her that one of their bosses in the company invited is wife for a date in one resto inside the Burj Al Arab - it cost around AED 700+ per head. Not bad coz I've seen the same range from other classy hotels here - and we're talking about Burj Al Arab - known as the World's Seven Star Hotel. Both of them were fetched by a luxurious limousine as their transportation - my friend forgot to ask how much it cost her boss renting that limo! That's pretty romantic and special! So if you want to be my Valentine - that same thing is what will make my heart's day complete and lovely. Not too much to ask for, right?

The cost of staying in a suite begins at $1,000 per night and increases to over $15,000 per night; the Royal Suite is the most expensive, at $28,000 per night. (source: wikipedia)
